Ancestor of the modern pinball machine
This bagatelle game was patented by Montague Redgrave of Cincinnati, OH, in 1871. By attaching bells and pins to a tilted bagatelle board--a game similar to billiards--Redgrave created the ancestor of the modern pinball machine.
